Today we arrived in Aswan, on the southern border of Egypt. It is our last stop in Egypt, tomorrow we'll be sailing to Wadi Halfa, Sudan. The first 1000 km is done!
Egypt:
* A small green ribbon along the Nile with a lot of people. Outside that area: sand.
* Hundreds of children who are cheering when you pass. "Hallo", "Money?" end "Sexy" are the most popular cheers.
* Every 10 kilometers there is a police roadblock. Apart from that there are many armed people in the streets.
* Pyramids, temples, tombs, hieroglyfs
* Beautifull pavement, nice temperatures for biking
* Wake up call every morning at five by "Allah Ahkbar" coming from hundreds of speakers
* The horn as most used instrument in the car
* Hey mister! Want buy? Cheap prices! What your name?
The next internet possibility will probably be at Khartoum, Sudan, so it will remain silent for some time now on my blog.
